the week of 6/6/06!

In a nutshell-this is then end to my week of running out of gasoline in Hannah's van twice, but coasting for over a mile to just barely reach the pump (yup, TWICE!) Finding out that Front Range screwed me for the millionth time. Falling off of my bike while trying to learn to ride with my feet clipped in twice-each leg is scraped and bruised (good thing I don't have a digital camera, or you'd see pics-I get proud of boo-boo's like that!).
Sooo. This last Friday at six-thirty AM, Hannah and I were getting ready to meet our friends at the Denver Zoo. I got Hannah ready, then layed her in her bed to watch 'Friends', and told her that I was going to take a shower and get myself together. I took a bath and started to do my hair when I decided to go check on the Hanucha Banucha...only to find out that my door was jammed and I COULD not get it open.
First thing I did was check outside to see if Diane's car was in the back, meaning she could save me. It was indeed...BUT I could hear our creepy "peeping-tom" neighbor in his yard, and didn't want to call out and have him be my Bathroom Hero. I attempted to get the screen off, but it had to be done from the other side.
At this point Hannah started to yell at me, and I screamed back at her (over the T.V. volume) , "I am stuck in the bathroom...just be patient. I will be ok." I can hear her laugh and continue to zone into 'Friends'. At this point, I decided to watch out the window for Diane, so she didn't leave the house and finish getting ready.
Completely panicked after sitting for five minutes, or eternity as it felt, I paced around the bathroom thinking of all the things that could be wrong with Hannah. Imagining her falling off her bed and on the floor, or even worse not breathing while I am stuck...I screamed "DI---ANE"! She came to my rescue and opened the screen from her side of the window-laughing...stories like this are only funny after the fact.
