Twenty Damn Seven Years Young......

LOOK WHAT I GOTS....Saturday morning Pat went out to "look for" my birthday present. Due to our tiny apartment, lack of hiding space, and inibility to keep a secret, he gave it to me immediately. I am guessing that part of the early present decision was because he wanted to ride this weekend! I was so surprised, as the bike was on top of his car, and I didn't notice it when I got in the car on two different occasions (imagine that!). *For those of you that don't know, I am ridiculously bad at noticing insignificant AND significant details.
Anyway, I was in tears and so excited to be able to hit the hills and commute around the city. Now that the weather is nice I have been seeing people out and about on bikes, and I was so jealous and angry that mine was stolen. I really didn't expect this great of a gift. I am pretty sure it exceeded the excitement when I received my pink and purple dirt bike from Santa in 1987!

Did he buy you a big lock and key also?? What a great present I know the two of you have had some great times on bikes! Did you have fun a Nicki's? She worked so hard to make your day special. She knows how much you love your birthday.

I didn't go over to Nicki's last night and feel terrible...very sweet of her to think of me. I hated my birthday this year and am pretending it didn't happen. Thursday is my birthday this year.

I felt the same way on my 18th I believe it was. I cried and cried and hated the fact that I was getting "older". Who knew. I didn't feel the same way again until I turned 23. The truth is, you're so darn special that it's hard to celebrate you only ONE day out of the year! (Insert cheesy Hallmark music here). Not that aging is the culprit of your sadness, but regardless, crying on your birthday isn't fun. Although, it is your party and you can cry if you want to, cry if you want to, cry if you want to. I would cry to if it happened to me. Dun, dun, dun, dun, da. Da, da, da, da, da, da. Or something like that.

Oh...thanks Kell!! XOXOXO for making me feel ten million times better (and your texts). The first Josi message is adorable.
Last night Nicki had an awesome, full blown birthday party...even grab bags with stickers/candy/toys, streamers, cake AND ICECREAM etc. I felt like I turned 7 (besides the wine) instead of 27! It was such a great make up birthday and so sweet of her!!!

I didn't realize until now that Josi actually spelled the word "me" in her note to you!
My daughter is a genius.
Love the pic of the birthday skirt. Very cute.
